August Sturgeon 'Super Blue' Moon

August Sturgeon 'Super Blue' Moon

August Sturgeon 'Super Blue' Moon

The next full moon is on 31 August at 2:35am in the UK, and is sometimes known as a 'Sturgeon Moon'. This full moon will also be a supermoon - the 2nd of four in a row - and is likely to appear larger than normal in the night sky. The 3rd interesting fact is that this is a blue moon (which is nothing to do with colour but the fact that two full moons occur within one calendar month).

Therefore, this moon is a SUPER BLUE MOON

The super blue moon will be the closest of all the full supermoons this year at only 222,043 miles away, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac, versus the average 238,855 miles.

August’s full moon is traditionally called the Sturgeon Moon because the giant sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this period. It's also been called the green corn moon, the grain moon, and the red moon for the reddish hue it often takes on in the summer.

Future blue moon dates for your calendar:

2023 - 31 August
2026 - 31 May
2028 - 31 December

Full Moon in Pisces - what's in store?

Pisces ♓️ the dreamy intuitive one, is heavily mixed amongst a lot of planets that are in retrograde, namely Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Pluto & Neptune.

There is a profound energy around us right now as this is such a rare moon and the synchronicities of it being not just any full moon, but that of a super moon and also the blue moon.
Therefore, if anything you're feeling comes up as a result of the retrogrades, now is an absolute must time to release old energies and anything emotional that no longer serves your higher purpose.

Write down anything that's bothering you. Anything you wish would just "go away" or any final goodbyes to a situation you may have been a part of.

Look back over the last couple of months and see what's appeared in your life that may have caused you angst, annoyance, or emotional discomfort.

When you write these things down, you get it out of your system in another way, and it's a very good time to then sit out with the full moon and burn that paper! 🔥

The power of a supermoon is always a good time to make the extra effort to get your crystals out and give them a good dose of Moonlight (don't worry they don't have to be in direct line of sight) and give them a much welcomed boost of🌜Lunar Energy🌛

For anyone releasing under the Picean Moon, we recommend the following crystals;
Selenite, Clear Quartz, Black Tourmaline, Hematite, Amethyst, Blue Lace Agate, Kyanite & Green Fluorite ♓️
