May “Flower” Full Moon
May’s Full Moon gets its name as flowers spring forth in abundance this month.
Depending on the Native American tribe, May’s Full Moon was called the Full Flower Moon as well as Mother’s Moon, Milk Moon, and Corn Planting Moon. The May Moon marked a time of increasing fertility with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young, a near end to late frosts, and plants in bloom
In the UK, the peak is 6.34pm on Friday 5 May.
This moon is also a LUNAR ECLIPSE - so energy is chaotic and putting your crystals out to charge should be avoided as it will create havoc with them.
In a Lunar eclipse, the Sun, Earth and moon are in alignment and as such the Earth’s shadow is cast upon the moon (although it will be hard for us to see it with the naked eye - the moon will be somewhat darker than a usual full moon)
The flower moon falls under Scorpio - a water sign and as such we can expect to feel restless, delay, the need for brainstorming, insecurities may arise and the need for inner work will become prevalent.
This is a time to assess one's emotional weights - those that hold you down and make you feel heavy as it those that are preventing you from hitting your peak joy and satisfaction.
It’s okay to feel vulnerable - especially about your feelings and those which you find uncomfortable to talk about.
Expect the unexpected, and remember that anything that leaves your life now is only making room for more of what the universe knows you need in your life!
Don't forget this is a good time to release emotions or unwanted energies in your life - write down, burn, release - whatever suits you! As above also - don't put your crystals out on this moon, there are plenty of other ways to recharge them :-)
